Dean Henderson Not a save to perform in the first half but then forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding intervention against an Albanian attacker demonstrated his anticipation. 6/10

The debutant Examined against the opposition's biggest threat through their forward. Played more centrally early on then shifted wider after Saka came on. Seven

The defender Moved into midfield on the ball, something he's known for previously. At times seemed hesitant on the ball and the experiment abandoned after the break. 6

Dan Burn Always dangerous at set pieces, typically, perhaps is a replacement to Stones in the backline as opposed to alongside him. A careless ball after the break almost led to the first goal for Albania. 6/10

The young full-back One more confident display by the rising star following his initial appearance against Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever touch over the Albania defence. The left-back spot is firmly his so soon. 7

The newcomer His maiden beginning for his country. Somewhat loose in possession though his inswinging set-pieces posed a danger. An effective game manager available to the boss to have against teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a poorly timed challenge. Six

The midfielder Deliveries from corners and free kicks created chances. Was given license to drift on the left yet found himself offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in a forward position down the right and also put in the hard yards. Displayed glimpses of brilliance but mishit an attempt wide. Replaced late on for a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Had England’s best chance of the first half, his shot excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate holding position, he was forced to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Taken off with 15 to go. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure netting two more finishes in an England shirt. The first a typical opportunist's goal while the second a classy header following a clever run off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to influence play out wide. Was presented with a presentable chance following a pass by the midfielder yet the keeper denied him. His replacement had a greater effect in his place. 5/10
